Welcome

When I took my first yoga class I felt so different, so light and mobile, but at the same time grounded.   I knew right then yoga was my Missing Piece, I wanted to feel this way always.  Yoga would always be in my life. 

It wasn't until several years later I realized yoga had not only been a missing piece, it is my superpower with riding and horsemanship.  What I learned on the yoga mat had me feeling my best; it taught me to be fully present and deeply enjoy time with my horses and the ones I was training.  At the same time it was and continues to prepare me to ride my best.  Just like I dreamed of as a kid. 

It was then I knew I wanted all equestrians to have the embodied experience I had.  On top of that I knew in turn, their horses would benefit too.   

I'm so glad you're here!  I'm Kristen, the owner and instructor of Kristen Kolenda Yoga.

I'm an yoga therapist, equestrian and trainer, and yoga researcher.  I teach yoga to all levels of riders with my online live classes (groups and 1:1), in person workshops (at your farm), and my online video library.  I teach skills on the yoga mat that directly translate to improved riding.  Showing you how to connect the dots between your body, mind, and horse.

Hi, I'm Kristen

I'm so glad you're here!  You can ignore the fact that my website put "about us", because it's just me, I'm Kristen, the owner and instructor of Kristen Kolenda Yoga.

I'm an yoga therapist, equestrian and trainer, and yoga researcher.  I teach yoga to all levels of riders with my online live classes (groups and 1:1), in person workshops (at your farm), and my online video library.  In my classes you'll learn skills and body awareness on the yoga mat that directly translate to improved riding.  I'll show you how to connect the dots between your body, mind, and horse using the techniques I've refined over the last 15 years teaching yoga to equestrians, as a lifelong equestrian with a degree in equestrian studies.

Classes are designed for equestrians but work for everyone.  Good posture, biomechanics, mental health, and relaxation are in every class I teach and apply to everyone.
